The Trafalgar Hotel
Location:Trafalgar Square, London
The Turn-Key conversion of the roof area of the Trafalgar Hotel, was a major project. From initial design and structural surveys, we knew we had a lot of work to complete. Phase 1 was to fully remove all the redundant roof top services, Air conditioning plant and move them to their new locations. Phase 2 required tonnes of steel to build a raft on the roof to support and tie down the new build. Phase 3 built from floor up, creating over 400 square metres of usable space, a new lift shaft to connect the additional floors, full kitchen and prep area, 2 bars, a Private exclusive dining room with retractable roof, an awning covered terrace overlooking Nelsons Column and the main restaurant area with 6 fully opening retractable roof sections, heating, lighting and all the tech to provide year round dining, functions and conference venues.
